With the warm weather fast approaching, one of the most refreshing ways to get in protein, fruits, and veggies is a smoothie! Smoothies can be a great on-the-go breakfast, a filling mid-day snack or a sweet treat after dinner. Here are some of our favorite’s from KFIT’s nutrition database ☺
Berry Splash Breakfast Smoothie
|1 cup||Frozen blueberries|
|1 cup||Frozen strawberry|
|2 cup||Orange juice|
|1 cup diced||Pineapple (frozen)|
Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth.
|1 medium stalk(s)||Celery|
|1/8 cucumber(s)||Cucumber (peeled)|
|1/2 medium pepper(s)||Jalapeno pepper (stemmed, seeded, de-ribbed)|
|2 tbsp||Lime juice (fresh)|
|3 drop(s)||Stevia sweetener, liquid|
|1 1/2 cup||Water|
|1 cup||Ice cubes|
Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth.
Divide between two glasses and enjoy!
Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie
|1 1/2 cup||Frozen strawberry|
|1/3 cup||Rolled oats, dry|
|1 1/2 tbsp||Vanilla yogurt, 1-2% M.F.|
|1/2 scoop||Hemp protein powder, vanilla|
|1/2 cup||Almond milk, unsweetened|
|1/2 tsp||Vanilla extract, pure|
