How did you get started in the fitness industry?
I was diagnosed with cancer and laid off from my corporate Public Relations job at the end of 2013. This made me realize more than ever that life is too short to not do what you love for a living.

 

What has fitness taught you?
Fitness has taught me that mental strength is just as important as physical strength. You can be as strong as you want but if you don’t have the determination to complete a course of action despite the difficulty, the physical strength will only take you so far. You need to be bold enough to create your own definition of success.​

 

How do you stay motivated?
I’m constantly motivated. The human body completely amazes me and I could study it daily. There are always ways to be better, faster, bigger,and stronger so you could say I am always on the hunt!​

What’s your go-to nutrition tip?
Avoid processed food.

I feel like I should say cats because of my beloved little Boris but I LOVE both!​

Pizza. Hands down. All day. Everyday.​

 

What would you tell your 20-year-old self?
Do not waste your time trying to fit into a mold that someone else created. Be yourself, everyone else is taken.​
